Sudden onset of Jaundice(Yellow eyes) with coagulopathy (blood clotting problem, raised INR) and encephalopathy(altered sensorium) without any previously known liver disease is consistent with acute liver failure.The paent requires ICU management and may require urgent liver transplantation. The usual causes of acute liver failure are hepatitis E and Hepatitis B, Antitubercular drugs, high dose Paracetamol ingestion and other viral infections.
